try with resources

자바 7에 도입된 try with resources 문은 try 다음에 괄호를 나오고, 괄호 안에 리소스가 생성하는 문이다. (지금까지 try 키워드 다음에는 블록이 나왔다) 괄호 안에서 생성할 수 있는 리소스는 java.lang.AutoCloseable을 구현해야 한다. try with resources 문은 리소스가 닫히는 것을 보장한다.

movies.txt 파일을 아래 내용으로 작성하고 /src 디렉터리에 복사한다.

예제는 BufferedReader 인스턴스를 사용해 파일로부터 첫 라인을 읽는다. BufferedReader은 프로그램이 끝날 때 반드시 닫혀야 하는 자원이다. 예제는 try with resources 문 안에 BufferedReader를 선언하고 있다. 자바 7부터 BufferedReader는 AutoCloseable 인터페이스를 구현한다. try with resources 문 안에 AutoCloseable을 구현한 리소스을 선언하면, try 문이 정상적으로 수행되거나 비정상 종료를 하거나 상관없이 리소스는 닫힌다.

자바 7 이전, 정상적으로 수행하거나 비정상으로 종료하거나 상관없이 리소스 종료를 확실히 하려면 다음처럼 finally 블록을 사용했다.

    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(path));
    try {
        return br.readLine();
    } finally {
    	if (br != null) br.close();
    }
}

하지만 finally 블록에서도 BufferedReader의 close() 메소드는 IOException을 발생시킬 수 있다.

try with resources 문 안에 하나 이상의 리소스를 선언할 수 있다. try with resources 문은 catch와 finally 블록을 가질 수 있는데, catch와 finally 블록은 선언된 리소스가 닫힌 후 작동한다.
